EMOTION & DESIGN DAY 1| Training series theoretical and methodological basis.
Relationship between meaning, psychology, emotion and colour.
Colours are strong psychological and emotional communicators and play an important role in the perception of an object or space. But colour is not just a feature of an object or space besides the shape, composition and texture. Colour is the most direct link with meaning because of its extensive abilities of abstraction. EMOTION & COLOUR therefore constitute the theoretical and methodological basis for this training series.
The relationship between meaning, psychology, emotion and colour is studied. Eight primary colours are further refined to nuances and the effects of nuance on the emotional and psychological perception is examined.
